What I miss most about my marketing job
But most of all, I liked the people I got to work with and the camaraderie we built. I’m happy to say that I have made a few lifetime friends at work that I still keep in touch with almost every day, and so if there’s one thing that I really miss about my old career, I’d say in a heartbeat that it’s the people. Being a freelance illustrator can get very lonely, even with family and friends around me. It’s more about the decisions I make at work and being able to collaborate.
How I became an illustrator - The beginning
My name is Joyce and I’m a freelance illustrator based in the San Francisco Bay. I like to draw people, houses, nature, food - mostly things directly related to our everyday life. I work with clients to produce illustrations that will grab people’s attention and convey the message in a fun and easy-to-understand manner.
